PEOPLE WHO MAKE IT HAPPEN:

Festival Director
NWAF founder Sven Bonnichsen is an independent animator based in Portland Oregon. He co-runs Scarlet Star Studios, a multi-media art retreat encouraging artists to create fearlessly and truthfully. His specialty is constructing custom-made ball-and-socket armatures for stop-motion puppets. Recent projects he’s contributed to include the 2011 Brisk Eminem Super Bowl Commercial and the indie feature film The Whisperer in Darkness.
