2011 schedule of films now online

This year the NW Animation Fest will be screening 76 short animated films and two featurettes. The complete schedule for all three days is now available on the website, along with photos and synopses for each film.

tickets on sale for 2011 fest

Tickets went on sale May 7, at the BeTween PDX unconference for freelance animators. Artists are the heart of our event… We wanted them to have the first shot at reserving seats.

As of May 8, tickets are available for everyone. But seating is limited — so reserve your place at the fest soon!

pay your entry fee online

Filmmakers now have the option to pay entry fees online.

It can cost people in the UK, Germany, or Switzerland $15-$18 to purchase an international money order. That effectively doubles their cost of submission. We hadn’t intended to introduce online payment until next year… But upon realizing the burden for international filmmakers, it became top priority to get the system working now.

As of today, we are able to accept credit card or PayPal payments from nearly anywhere in the world.

NWAF now listed at Withoutabox.com

The NW Animation Festival is now listed at Withoutabox.com. NWAF will not be accepting digital submissions via WAB this year. However, we do hope that the listing will help many more animators discover our event.

NWAF website goes live

The NW Animation Festival website is currently undergoing a volcanic eruption. Pixel magma is streaming down the sides of our monitor, as the digital beast gives birth to itself. That’s OK… Tinfoil bunnysuits are inexpensive, and the whole family can enjoy knitting shiny sheets together with common USB cables.
